Dalhousie is a tourist point in the Dhauladhar range located in Himachal Pradesh. Dalhousie was founded in 1854 by Lord Dalhousie, a British Governor, so that he could spend a quiet summer in a cool and quiet place. A samadhi (memorial) has been erected near Panchpula in memory of a great revolutionary Sardar Ajit Singh (uncle of Shaheed Bhagat Singh), where he took his last breath. 7. Sach Pass (True Pass)

The Sach Pass is a hill pass that rises at an altitude of 4500 meters above the Pir Panjal mountain range and connects Dalhousie to the Chamba and Pangi valleys. Let me tell you that this route, 150 kilometers from Dalhousie, is one of the most difficult routes to cross in North India. People who like adventure often visit the true pass (when it is open) and experience the thrill of riding a bike or car from here. 8. Subhash Baoli

Subhash Baoli is a place located 1 km from Gandhi Chowk in Dalhousie, named after the famous freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose. Subhash Baoli Eko is known for its beautiful scenic views, far-flung snow mountain views and beauty. Subhash Baoli is the place where Subhash Chandra Bose came in 1937 due to a health problem and he stayed at this place for 7 months. He was completely cured by staying at this place. 9. Dankund Peak

Danakund Peak, also known as Singing Hill, is located at an altitude of 2755 meters above sea level in Dalhousie. The name of this mountain was derived from its special feature Ganji Pahadi because there is complete absence of vegetation on this hill. Ganji means baldness. This hill is a favorite picnic spot because of its proximity to Dalhousie. During winter this area is covered with thick snow which presents panoramic views.

Best time to visit Dalhousie 


Dalhousie is a place where you can roam all year round due to its ideal climate. However, the best time to visit Dalhousie is between March-June. The snow starts melting here in the months of March and April and the brightness of this place is worth seeing when the sun rays hit the snow-covered mountains and pastures. The weather here is very pleasant at this time, you can experience the cold in March and April and the temperature starts to rise slightly in the month of June. Dalhousie weather is also very good during the summer months, due to which it is a paradise for nature lovers.
