'Bhangarh Fort', this name gives shivers and adventure to the one who knows the history behind. In 17th century, this fort was built by Maan Singh I near Ajmer district of Rajasthan (India). Maan Singh was one of the 'navratnas' in Akbar court. This fort got its name from Madho Singh after his grandfather 'Bhan Singh'.

Bhangarh Fort is located near the border  of 'Sariska Reserve' in the Aravali Ranges near Alwar district in Rajasthan, India. The fort is around 235 Kms from Delhi. Also this fort is located among the top haunted places all over the Asia.

This place is restricted to be visited after sunset and before sunrise. A warning notice board is placed by the 'Archaeological Survey of India', due to the frequent incidents that took place there. People who went there after sunset never found return, and those who returned were not less than a dead body, nothing came out from them and soon they were found demised.

Now the question arises... 

Basically there are two stories most commonly narrated since decades. And these goes on as follows -

1. This history is written due to the beauty of 'Ratnavati', the princess of Bhangarh. She was so beautiful that there were countless number of Prince all over the world from royal families were dying  to marry her. She was 18 years old when this incident took place.

There was a Wizard in Bhangarh who was adept in black magic, the day he saw the Princess he   fallen in love with her beauty. He tried everything to attract her with an intention to marry her, but nothing fruitful derived from his deeds. One day Ratnavati was outside at the market to buy some 'Itra' (Scent). At the shop, the wizard replaced the scent with the 'Love Potion', a black magicked potion prepared by wizard with an intention to hypnotize Ratnavati and make her agree to get married with the Wizard.

But here also Ratnavati  saw the trick of Wizard and she threw the potion on a big 'Jack Stone'. The stone rolled over the Wizard crushing him on the ground. When the wizard was counting his last breath,he cursed with his last voice "Bhangarh would destroy soon and no one would be able to live  within its precincts". It is believed that this curse was carried on by subsequent invasion of 'Mughals' from north and the city was sacked. All the people in fort including Ratnavati were killed.

This curse is still there and people believe that there is ghost spirit of wizard and Ratnavati who kills everyone whoever visits them after sunset or before sunrise.

     2. The second story behind the craziness of this place is the story of 'Baba Balak Nath'.

This baba was a powerful one. He had instructions to whole Bhangarh that no one can make a house which is taller than his house. He cursed that if shadow of any of the building will fall on his house then the whole town would destroy. Same thing happened, the shadow of fort fallen on Baba's house and rest story you know very well.......

According to me, the first story makes more sense. But this place has something,when everyone is sleeping there are some shadows who rings the bell of horror...fear and a lot of adventure.....Experience and eXplore this adventure once in a life time.
