You might have heard, seen and experienced any mysterious and creepy things in your life, but this one is slightly different and holds an unsorted mystery in itself.

Today I am taking you to a Village, that once was a prosperous habitate. But today this village has only the remains of what it had back in 13th Century. Just walk with me to the history of this place....

Kuldhara is a village located in Jaisalmer District of Rajasthan, India. Actually it was a Village, but now it is a historical place which is maintained by The 'Archealogical Survey of India'. In the 13th Century, this village was inhabited by the 'Paliwal' Brahmans, who migrated from 'Pali' district in Rajasthan (i.e why known as Pali-wal Brahmans). In early 19th Century, this village got abandoned by some unknown reasons. There are some perceptions from the scientists, that we will discuss shortly...

Kuldhara is approx. 18 Km away from Jaisalmer. You can reach there by bus or by your own convince from Jaisalmer. And from Delhi it is around 780 Kms, you can take a flight from Delhi to Jaisalmer or a train as per your convenience.

As I stated earlier, this village had the presence of 'Paliwal Brahmins' since 13th Century till 19th. But one day this village was vacated suddenly like no one was living there before.

I mean, you see a well settled and populated village last night and when you wake up next morning, you find that you are alone in the village, not a single sign of life there. How do you feel?? What questions will hover your mind??

This is one of the question which is unanswered till date. No one is able to explain what had happened in Kuldhara Village, in a single night this village got abandoned. Moreover, People who lived there were never seen again at any other place in the world. This has made a quest to scientists and the archaeologists. After this incident, no community got settled at this place. People who tried to spend a single night here, experienced paranormal activities.

Local people states, "This all had happened due to the curse given by Paliwals on this land" Reason behind is..

"There was the State minister named Salim or Zalim Singh (most commonly known). As the name says 'Zalim' same was his nature, he was very cruel. He burdened huge taxes on villagers and it was very hard life for them to pay taxes as Jaisalmer was deserted, there is shortage of water and so of farming. But he continued with his cruelty.

Zalim Singh fallen in love with one of the girls in Kuldhara and he wanted her at any cost. Girls's parents never wanted that her daughter should get married to such a person. Zalim Singh dictated in village that if he will not get this girl, he will triple the taxes. People of the village didn't gave up on him, they never want the daughter of village should be handed over to such a person.

After all trials of Zalim Singh, he finally sent his guards to carry the girl with them forcefully. They reached there and forced the villagers to hand over the girl. Villagers told them that "we will surrender the girl, but please come tomorrow, her parents want to spend some time with her and you can take her." Guards returned on this assurance. And next morning when they came....shhusshhhhhhhhhh..... a core silence, only dust and empty houses were standing there, like no one lived at that place.

Everyone was shocked, they tried to search for the people who lived in this village, but no one was traceable, not a single one. Since then no one / no Community was able to settle at this place. It is said that when the 'Paliwals' were leaving, they cursed this place that 'No body will ever settle here again after we left."

So people believe that this curse has left this place to be inhabit. And it is the strangest thing that people of Kuldhara can not be traced ever after.
